In 2007 John Lennon would have turned 67, and he could well have been at the forefront of the attempt to bring peace to Darfur, where over half a million people have died as a result of violence and disease due to the ongoing civil war.
In order to highlight the ongoing conflict, Amnesty International were given free access to Lennon's complete post-Beatles songbook by his widow, Yoko Ono, and the result is a superb collection of covers by some of the heavyweights of the contemporary music scene.
